Stephen Anderson

Owner/Funeral Director

Stephen is a native of Rockford, IL  and graduated from Boylan Central Catholic High School.  He is a  graduate of Worsham College of Mortuary Science, and  has over 30 years of funeral directing experience, 20 of which have been with Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services.  Stephen is a second generation funeral director.  Steve has poured his life into Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services and his passion is to serve each family as if they are his own.

His civic involvements include, membership of the National Funeral Directors Association, Order of the Golden Rule, past board member of the Illinois Funeral Directors Association, current member of the Belvidere Chamber of Commerce, Boone County Historical Museum, Wings and Wheels Museum of Poplar Grove and A.O.P.A. Stephen is married to Diann Anderson. In his spare time, Stephen enjoys aviation, playing the piano and bagpipes, spending time on his riding lawn mower, conversations around the fire pit and grilling the perfect burger.

Patrick Anderson

Funeral Director

Patrick is a native of Belvidere and was part of the first gradating class from Belvidere North High School. Patrick holds a Bachelors Degree in Religious Studies from North Central College, Naperville, IL  and Mortuary Science Degree from Worsham College of Mortuary Science.  Patrick is following in the foot steps of  his grandfather and father as a third generation Funeral Director.

Patrick is married to Tiana Anderson.    Patrick is a member of the National Funeral Directors Association.

Amy Heller

Funeral Director

Amy is a native of Belvidere and graduated from Belvidere High School.  She holds a Mortuary Science Degree from Worsham College of Mortuary Science. She is a member of the Cremation Association of North America,  National Funeral Directors Association.     Amy believes that she has been “called” into funeral directing and she has put her heart and tremendous energy to being the best funeral director that she can be.  Amy’s greatest passion is to serve families who are experiencing the loss of their loved one, and she does it with warmth, gentleness and compassion.    Amy attends Immanuel Lutheran Church.   In her free time she enjoys spending time with her nieces,  being outdoors, camping, fishing,  four-wheeling.

Roger Gieseke

Funeral Director Assistant

Roger is a native of Woodstock and has over 15 years of experience in serving the families of Belvidere. Prior to joining Anderson, Roger served in the Army National Guard and worked for the U.S. Postal Service.

Active in the community, Roger is a former member of Belvidere Early Riser Kiwanis Club American Legion, and a current member of the American Legion.

Roger and his wife, Wanda, attend Heartland Community Church in Rockford where they serve on the First Impressions Team. The couple has two daughters, Michelle (Greg Cromer) and April (Paul Hayes), and two granddaughters, Kennedy and Harper. In his spare time, Roger enjoys fishing and spending time with his family.

Dan Schenck

Chaplain

Dan hails from Abingdon. He has over 25 years of experience and received his Masters degree in Divinity. Dan and his wife, Cindy, attend United Methodist Church. In his free time, Dan enjoys playing the piano and writing.

Dixie Chambers

Cosmetologist

Dixie is a native of Belvidere. She has over 42 years of experience and previously owned Accent Hair and Nails for 14 years. Dixie attends First United Methodist Church of Belvidere. Her and her husband, Howard, have two sons as well as four grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

In her spare time, Dixie enjoys being outdoors where she can spend time gardening and playing golf.

Roberta Turner

Greeter

Roberta is a native of Belvidere. Roberta joined Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services after working for 25 years with the City of Belvidere in City Administration. She is a member of First United Methodist Church in Belvidere. Roberta has two children, Bob Jr. (Lisa) and Jill (Terry Phillips), as well as two grandsons, Jake and Ben.

Pete Pyszka

Pete is a native of Belvidere, and is a member of the County Line Grange. Pete and his wife, Terri, have three children, Michael, Sarah and Andrea, as well as three grandchildren.

JoEllen Coleman

Jo Ellen is a native of Belvidere. She has her Bachelor’s degree in Management and Leadership from Judson University. Jo Ellen is a member of the County Line Grange, Pomona Grange, and Boone County Veterans Club. In her free time, Jo Ellen enjoys cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.

Howie Chambers

Funeral Director Assistant

Howard is a native of Belvidere and attends United Methodist Church of Belvidere. He is married to Dixie Chambers. In his spare time, Howard enjoys playing golf and showing his 1939 Chevy Coup and Dixie’s 1930 Chevy C-Cab.
